UK SERIES 9

The nation once was again on the cusp of another international tournament, with Euro 2004 due to take place in the Summer, Corinthian released MicroStars Series 9 England 2004 in May.​

UK Series 9 is a 48 figure strong release, with 23 being in home kit, 23 away kit and manager Sven Goran Eriksson in 2 different colour suits. The figures were released in 4 different colour capsules, 5 actually if you include Gold capsules, and 4 different packaging formats!

The 23 home kit figures and Sven in Black suit were found inside the Red capsules, with the 23 away kit figures and alternate suit Sven spread across 3 other capsule colours, Yellow, White and Silver.

The 8 away kit figures found inside Yellow capsules were Rio Ferdinand, Kieron Dyer, Jermaine Jenas, John Terry, David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and David James.

Inside the White capsules were Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville, Ashley Cole, Emile Heskey, Paul Scholes, Michael Owen, Darius Vassell and Sol Campbell.

The remaining 8 were all found inside the Silver capsules, those 8 being James Beattie, Owen Hargreaves, Phil Neville, Wayne Bridge, Nicky Butt, Joe Cole, Paul Robinson and Sven Goran Eriksson in a Grey suit.

The Single player pack contained 1 Powerpodz which would have inside it a Red or Gold capsule, available from the usual retailers and priced at £1.49

​

The 2 player pack was exclusive to Woolworths and contained 1 Powerpodz which would have a Red or Gold capsule inside, along with a Yellow capsule containing on of the 8 exclusive away kit figures. These were only sold in Woolworths stores and priced at £2.99

There were actually 2 different versions of the 3 player pack released, one which was sold in major retailers and available via Corinthian Direct, and another version which was exclusive to Woolworths!

The regular 3 player pack contained 1 Powerpodz which would have a Red or Gold capsule, a Silver capsule containing one of the 8 exclusive away kit figures and also a guaranteed gold capsule containing a Gold based figure. The 3 player pack was priced at £3.99

​

The 3 player pack which was exclusive to Woolworths contained 1 Powerpodz which would have a Red or Gold capsule, along with a White capsule containing one of the 8 away kit figures and also a guaranteed Gold capsule which would contain a Gold base figure, with these selling in Woolies stores nationwide for £3.99

This series was also released in Japan and called Miniatures Series 6, the only figure not included was Michael Owen in England away kit, he was instead included in the Japan Miniatures Lucky Box.

All figures were sealed into a clear plastic sachet and packed into a capsule, with all figures being leased on 6 different base colours, Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver and Gold. The goal keeper figures were released with 4 different MC codes per base colour. A collector's information leaflet was also released with the figures.
