MEXICO SERIES 3

The early part of 2006 saw Corinthian release MicroStars Mexico Series 3, which was done to coincide with the up coming World Cup Tournament.​

Mexico Series 3 consists of 16 figures of the Mexican national team, 8 are in home kit and 8 are in away kit. I have always been a huge fan of these style of series, as it gives the collector some unique sculpts we would otherwise never have gotten, due to the domestic clubs some of the players played for.​

All 16 figures were exclusive to Mexico Series 3, the MC codes were not used in any other series, making these an essential purchase for any MicroStars collector. As with any Mexico series, some can be elusive but having a good contact in Mexico certainly aids in being able to complete the collection.

The figures were released in single mystery boxes, the same style as the ones used for the other Mexico Series. Each mystery box contained one randomly packed MicroStars figure, which could be on one of the seven base colours, which are Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver, Gold and Black and also came with some chewing gum.

A collectors information leaflet also came issued with the figures which detailed those available in the series, with the text being in Spanish. The boxes were released inside a CDU (Counter Display Unit) with 18 boxes per CDU, with the distributor for the series being Productos Marcopolo.
