MEXICO SERIES 1

Corinthian released there very first series in Mexico, with the product sold and distributed solely within Mexico, Corinthian were never able to acquire any stock to sell within the UK, so collector's had to find their own way of obtaining Mexico Series 1.

 

 

As for the figures themselves, they were a  ix of club and national kits, with teams from England Scotland, Italy and Spain all represented. All 24 figures were unique to this series, there MC codes were not used in any other series, so for those who look to collect each MC code, it made obtaining a full set imperative. ​

The stand out figures from Mexico Series 1 are of course the 4 TV Reporters, these unique figures have always been in high demand and are always sought after and are amongst my personal favourite figures which Corinthian ever released. All 4 TV Reporters were only released on a Green base and were produced in smaller numbers than the rest of the figures in this series.

The figures were released in single mystery boxes, the same style as the ones used for the Japan Miniatures. Each mystery box contained one randomly packed MicroStars figure, which could be on one of the six base colours, which are Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver or Gold and also came with some chewing gum.

 

 

A collectors information leaflet also came issued with the figures which detailed those available in the series, with the text being in Spanish. The boxes were released inside a CDU (Counter Display Unit) with 24 boxes per CDU, with the distributor for the series being Productos Marcopolo.
