JAPAN MINIATURES SERIES 4

Japan Miniatures Series 4 is often regarded as one of the best Miniatures Series, reason being it is made up of exclusive figures, with the exception of just 3.

The box design bore the colours of the Italian national flag, with all figures being from Italy's Serie A, which at this period in time was incredibly popular in Japan, hence the decision to make this release their first one that was not just a re release series of figures from the UK Series.

 

 

Rui Costa in AC Milan home kit was released in the UK PowerShot version 2 on Green & Gold base, Clarence Seedorf in AC Milan home kit was on a Gold base as part of the MicroDome Managers Edition, while Gennaro Gattuso was also part of the 11 pack, on all bases except Gold. The other 26 figures MC codes were all exclusive to the series and not used in any other series or release.

There are 28 figures in the regular edition, 26 normal and 2 Chaser figures, which are Rui Costa in AC Milan third kit and Christian Vieri in Inter Milan third kit as a kicker pose figure.

An Extension version was also released which contained the same 28 figures but also had the Extension Chaser figure of Francesco Totti in Roma third kit, with him being in a kicker pose.

The figures were released in single mystery boxes, each mystery box contained one randomly packed MicroStars figure, which could be on one of the six base colours, which are Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver and Gold. The extension edition also had it's own single box, which featured the Extension branding across it.

A collectors information leaflet also came issued with the figures which detailed those available in the series, with the text being in Japanese, with an updated version also being included in the Extension edition. The boxes were released inside a CDU (Counter Display Unit) , with the distributor for the series being New Wave, who's store was called Foot Circle.
