JAPAN MINIATURES SERIES 10 LEGENDS

Japan Miniatures Series 10 Legends was; as the name would imply, a series dedicated to legends of the beautiful game, with the line up truly reading like a who is who of world football.

For many collector's this is their favourite MicroStars series and one which has always been highly collectible. Any series which can boast names like Maradona, Guardiola, Lineker, Gascoigne and Mancini was always going to be a success, which is why it is such a travesty they never released another legends although there were plans to do so, these were sadly cancelled.  

 

 

There are a total of 28 figures to collect, a normal edition which contains 27 figures, the normal chaser being Dejan Savicevic in AC Milan home kit.

There was also an Extension version released, it features the same 26 from the normal release, with the xtension Chaer being Maco Van Basten in AC Milan away kit.​

​

 

The figures were released in single mystery boxes, each mystery box contained one randomly packed MicroStars figure, which could be on one of the six base colours, which are Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver and Gold. The extension edition also had it's own single box, which featured the Extension branding across it along with the image of the Extension Chaser figure of Van Basten.

A collectors information leaflet also came issued with the figures which detailed those available in the series, with the text being in Japanese, with an updated version also being included in the Extension edition. The boxes were released inside a CDU (Counter Display Unit) , with the distributor for the series being New Wave, who's store was called Foot Circle.

All 28 figures were also released in 2 different box sets, which is most often how collector's outside of Japan acquired the figures. There was a Japan Miniatures Series 10 Legends box set which had all figures on a Green base, and a Swedish release which was called 28 Gold Legends, with all figures being on a Gold base.
