COCA-COLA SERIES 1
McDONALD'S SPECIALS
As part of Corinthian's collaboration with Coca Cola they also released a special set of 4 figures in Mexico away kit, as part of Series 1, with these figures being exclusively sold in McDonald's stores on Mexico.

Customers purchased the Mexican equivalent of a 'Happy Meal' which was called a 'Mc Trio' paid an additional 5 pesos and would be given one of the Coca Cola KB Zones series 1 secret sachet, which would contain one of the 4 exclusive away kit figures.

The 4 figures are goal keeper Oswaldo Sanchez, Rafael Marquez, Jesus Arellano 'Cabrito' and Cuauhtemoc Blanco.

Oswaldo Sanchez was by far the hardest to find, with stories of McDonald's employees even seeking the figures out to sell them. The name KB ZONES was the name selected by Coca Cola for the range which was their word for 'Big Head'

All figures were released on a Red base and had their own unique collector codes, starting with CCM (Coca Cola Mexico) the figures did not have the player ratings under the base.

The figures can be hard to locate and it is certainly advantageous to have good contacts in Mexico. Many thanks to my good friend Victor F Gz for providing the insight and information into how these 4 figures were sold.
