11 PACK

Corinthian signed an agreement with toy distributor FEVA to release; for the first time, MicroStars on sale in shops outside of the Powerpodz chocolate shell.

 

 

The 11 pack was sold in retails stores such as Toys R Us, Toymaster, Youngsters, Harrods, Hamleys and Selfridges, priced at £9.99, with a release date of 15th August 2005. The pack was eventually made available to purchase from Corinthian Direct, i can assume they bought back unsold stock and made it available to collector club members.

 

 

The original plan for the 11 pack was for it to include 4 visible figures and 7 in mystery capsules, with the 4 visible figures to be exclusives figures of Deco Portugal home kit, Robert Pire France home kit, Patrick Kluivert The Netherlands home kit and Nolberto Solano in Peru home kit. As it transpired these plans were changed and those 4 figures would not be in the 11 pack and instead part of the Exclusives set Corinthian gave away when purchasing the SuperClub and MicroDome sets.

 

 

The released 11 pack saw 4 visible figures and 7 capsules, with the capsules being made up of previously released figures, with two of the capsules containing a guaranteed Gold base.

 

 

The line up for the 4 visible figures in the 11 pack was:

Nuno Capucho Rangers Home - Japan Miniatures Series 5

Gennaro Gattuso AC Milan Home - Japan Miniatures Series 4

Johan Mjallby Celtic Home - Japan Miniatures Series 5, Japan Miniatures Series 7 & UK Series 10

 

 

So although all 4 visible figures were released in other series, with Recoba, Capucho and Gattuso only being released in Japan, this gave UK collectors an ideal opportunity to add them to their collection, especially as this was the only figure of Capucho that Corinthian would release.

 

 

The 11 pack also contained an exclusive figure, which was Hugo Viana in Portugal home kit, inside the capsules he was found on Green , Red, Blue, White and Silver base, the Gold base version was only found in the 5 pack.
