Corinthian released a series of MicroStars in Brazil, with the range being called 'Craques da Bola' which roughly translates from Portuguese to read 'Soccer Stars'

As with Latin America Series 2, it was long debated if this series of MicroStars was even released! I recall scouring the Brazilian websites and eventually stumbling across a seller who was advertising some sealed boxes.

I purchased the 4 boxes he was selling and had them imported into the UK, and to my knowledge these were the very first Brazil Series 1 figures which made it to the UK. Each CDU contains 24 single boxes, with one of each figure being in the CDU, so buying a full case did guarantee a full set of 24 but on random base colours of course.

There are 24 figures in the series, 13 of which were released in other series, including series released in the UK, Sweden, Germany and also Japan, with the MC codes being identical.

10 of the figures are unique to this Brazil series, which are Cafu, Maldini, Gilberto Silva, Silvinho, Marquez, Puyol, Nedved, Lampard, Cambiasso and Buffon, they were not released as part of any other MicroStars series.

The final figure to mention is Gianluca Zambrotta in Barcelona home kit, the MC codes are the same as those in German Series 3, however this Brazil version has him wearing Gold boots, the German version has him in Black boots, so for those who seek to collect every variant, here is another one to collect.

The figures were released in single mystery boxes, the same style as the ones used for the Mexico series. Each mystery box contained one randomly packed MicroStars figure, which could be on one of the seven base colours, which are Green, Red, Blue, White, Silver, Gold and Black

 

 

A collectors information leaflet also came issued with the figures which detailed those available in the series, with the text being in Portuguese. The leaflet detaled the figures included in the series as well as the ProStars series of figures.

The boxes were released inside a CDU (Counter Display Unit) with 24 boxes per CDU, with the distributor for the series being a company called DTC.
