5 PACK

Corinthian signed an agreement with toy distributor FEVA to release; for the first time, MicroStars on sale in shops outside of the Powerpodz chocolate shell.

The 5 pack was sold in retails stores such as Toys R Us, Toymaster, Youngsters, Harrods, Hamleys and Selfridges, priced at £4.99, with a release date of 15th August 2005. The pack was eventually made available to purchase from Corinthian Direct, i can assume they bought back unsold stock and made it available to collector club members.

 

 

The original plan for the 5 pack was for it to include 2 visible figures and 3 in mystery capsules, with the 2 visible figures to be exclusives figures of Patrick Vieira France home kit and Milan Baros Czech Republic home kit. As it transpired these plans were changed and those 2 figures would not be in the 5 pack and instead part of the Exclusives set Corinthian gave away when purchasing the SuperClub and MicroDome sets.

 

 

The released 5 pack saw 3 visible figures and 2 capsules, with the capsules being made up of previously released figures, with one of the capsules containing a guaranteed Gold base.

The 5 pack also contained an exclusive figure, which was Hugo Viana in Portugal home kit, however he was only found on Gold base inside the Gold capsule, the other 5 base colours were exclusively found inside the 11 pack.
